About Us
We are a community of Christian believers dedicated to learning and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We offer a Traditional Worship Style that normally runs for 1 hour. Communion is offered on the first Sunday of every month and is open to all people.
We offer Bible Study on Monday evenings beginning at 7:30PM in the church from September thru Fathers Day in June.
Meet Our Pastor
I am in the business of inspiring people. These people might be 5-year-old kindergarten students beginning to sing together, college students embarking on the road to psychological self-discovery, or listeners around the world who have experienced my podcast “A Word for Our Hearts.” I also like to see the faces of those inspired by my singing, and preaching, in person. All these experiences, and more, are what I bring to my ministry at Ferrell UMC. I am a retired college professor, professional opera singer, public school educator, and have been in the pastoral ministry since June of 1984.
For a more nuts and bolts description, I am the holder of a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Biblical Languages, a Master of Arts in Counseling, A PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling, and a Doctor of Biblical Exposition. I have been ordained as an elder since 1990 and a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1991. I have a small private Christian Counseling Practice located in Cherry Hill, NJ.
My wife, Vicky, and I share 5 children and seven grandchildren. We live on a picturesque lake in Mullica Hill, NJ, and are blessed to have found a loving, joyful, and welcoming, church family.
Please, come and join us for worship each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. or for Bible Study Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. We’d love to share the fellowship, worship, and word of God, with you!
